Frequently Asked Questions

How do I log a blood pressure reading?

Open Heart-E and tap the + button on the main screen. Enter your systolic, diastolic, and pulse values. Optionally select your position (sitting, standing, lying down) and which arm you used.

What do the colors mean?

Readings are color-coded per AHA (American Heart Association) guidelines: green for normal, yellow for elevated, orange for high stage 1, and red for high stage 2. These are for informational purposes only — consult your doctor for medical advice.

Can I share my data with my doctor?

Yes. Heart-E can generate a PDF report of your readings that you can share via the iOS share sheet — email it, AirDrop it, or print it.

Does Heart-E work with Apple Health?

Yes, optionally. You can enable HealthKit integration to read and write blood pressure and heart rate data. This is entirely opt-in.

Is my data stored online?

No. All your health data is stored locally on your device. We have no servers and do not collect any personal data.

Is Heart-E really free?

Yes. Every feature in Heart-E is available at no cost. There are no paywalls and no ads.

How do I delete my data?

Since all data is stored locally, deleting the app removes all data. You can also clear individual readings within the app.
