Frequently Asked Questions
Is Nutri-E free?
Yes, to start. Unlimited supplement tracking, reference daily values, schedules, reminders, nutrient summaries, and data export cost nothing. The free plan includes 10 AI requests to start, then 3 more each week, up to a maximum of 10 stored, and the App shows your balance and when the next ones arrive. The Pro, Premium and Ultimate plans raise your daily AI limit.
What is an AI request?
An AI request is one use of the camera scanning or AI question features. Photograph a supplement label or a meal and the App fills in the nutrients, so you do not have to type them in by hand. Logging doses does not use AI requests. Searching the NIH database does not use AI requests either, but it does count against a separate daily lookup allowance, described in the terms.
How do free AI requests work?
You start with 10. Every week you get 3 more, and your balance can hold at most 10, so credits earned while you are already at 10 are not carried over. Each scan or AI question spends one. When your balance reaches zero the App tells you the date the next 3 arrive, and a paid plan gives you a daily allowance instead.
What data leaves my phone?
Your supplement records, dose history, health details, and schedules stay in a database on your device. These things do leave. Each time you open the App it checks how many AI requests you have left with our servers, which happens automatically. When you scan a supplement label, the photo is read on your iPhone and only the recognised text goes to our servers and on to OpenAI, so the label photo itself stays on your phone. When you scan a meal, that photo does go to our servers and on to OpenAI, as do food descriptions you type. Product searches and barcodes go to our servers and on to the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database. Every request carries a pseudonymous device identifier so we can apply your plan's AI request limit. The privacy policy lists every service and what each one receives.
How do I export my data?
Open More, tap Export Data, then tap Export Data again on the next screen. You get a JSON file with your supplements, nutrients, dose history, schedules, and profile, handed straight to the iOS share sheet. Meals logged in food tracking are not included. Export is available on every plan, including the free one, and the file never passes through us.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual entries in the App, or delete the App to remove the whole local database from your device. Records held on our servers against your device identifier, such as usage counters and subscription status, are not removed by deleting the App. Email privacy@dashecorp.com to ask about those.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel there. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period and paid features stay available until then. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Why are my reference daily values different from someone else's?
Reference values are calculated from the age, gender, and life stage you enter, including pregnancy and lactation. Change those in the App and the targets update. They follow general guidelines and are not medical advice.
The AI read my label incorrectly. What should I do?
Edit the values by hand after a scan. Lighting, focus, and worn labels all affect accuracy, so always check what the AI extracted before relying on it. Reporting a bad scan through in-app feedback helps us improve the prompts.
What are the requirements?
Nutri-E runs on iPhone with iOS 16.0 or later. You must be 18 or older to use it. Nutri-E is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Talk to a healthcare professional before changing any supplement regimen.
